Your New Drawing Tip is Here!
Valentine's Day
Hello,
Happy Valentine's Day!
It is really hard to believe that February is here already and Valentines Day is coming. Something that has been very exciting is that I have just finished another "Anyone Can Draw" drawing book.
This one is all about Social Studies and the things that all ages can learn about and sometimes might need to draw.
Last week I used one of the sections in the new book to teach grade 5 students and I used another section to teach grade 6 students. Both lessons went very well and I'm glad that I included
them in the book. The new book will become available on my web site very soon.
February is going to be a busy but exciting month for me. I am looking forward to going to the Calgary Teacher's Convention where I will give a couple of workshops. In addition,
I will have a table in the exhibitor's area so I look forward to seeing some of you there. After Calgary I will be going north over the Arctic Circle to Cambridge Bay, Nunavut to hold
some workshops on drawing and I am really looking forward to being there.
In addition to going to Alberta and Nunavut, I will be in three different schools in Chilliwack; Bernard Elementary, Promontory Elementary, and Unsworth Elementary. So things are quite busy
but the students are having a great time learning new things and exploring the world of Art.
I will have copies of the new book in Calgary and Cambridge Bay and I will have some books and DVDs in Cambridge Bay as well.
I hope that each and everyone has a great Valentines Day!

This Month's Drawing - Cupid & Roses
The pictures for the drawing sheet this month were requested by Marijana who asked if there could be a "how to draw cupid" section. Thank you for the request Marijana and here is cupid.
I have also decided to include a "how to draw a dozen roses with a ribbon around them and hearts in the background" section.
If anyone has a suggestion for future drawing sheets please feel free to email me at info@anyonecandraw.ca and I'll see what I can do.
I welcome any suggestions and comments. Until the next time, Happy Valentines Day!
