Your New Drawing Tip is Here!
Mother's Day
Hi,
May 3 - 7 is Teacher Appreciation week! I want to take this opportunity to say to all teachers... thanks for the great job you do with your students!
This Month's Drawing - Mother's Day
When I think about the month of May, I think of Mother's Day. The drawing sheet for this month is centered on the Mother's Day theme. A bouquet of flowers, a basket of flowers and a watering can are all things that you can learn to draw.
Teachers, you can use the ideas for decorations on Mother's Day cards or for springtime decorations in the classroom. This worksheet is a compliment to both the Intermediate and Primary Anyone Can Draw books under the section labelled "Gardens". Have fun, happy drawing and Happy Mother's Day!

Where's Stephan
One of the schools that I will be at this month is McCammon Traditional Elementary. I will be teaching the students how to draw and some basics for watercolour painting. In addition I will be working with the grade 6 students on their Legacy Mural project. This is the fifth year that I have worked with the grade 6 classes to create a mural.
Each year the students are given a theme and they come up with ideas for the mural. Once they have handed in their ideas, I take as many ideas as possible and incorporate them into one. This way it is the student's work that ends up on the mural. I then help the students and their sponsor teacher by outlining the drawing on the wall. The students and teacher then paint the mural.
The younger students look forward to their turn, when they are the grade 6 class that gets to work on the mural. This has been a tremendous project to be involved with and I am looking forward to working at McCammon Traditional this month.
